Cancellation and Refund Policy
At FinEvent, powered by Finixia Dedecons Pvt. Ltd., we strive to provide a smooth and user-friendly experience for event organizers and ticket buyers alike. However, we understand that sometimes plans change. Our cancellation and refund policy is designed to accommodate such changes while ensuring fairness and transparency. Please carefully read through this policy to understand your rights and obligations.
1. Event Organizer Cancellation
Event organizers registered with FinEvent have the ability to cancel their events under certain circumstances. However, cancellations should be made in a timely manner and in accordance with our guidelines.
1.1 Organizer-Initiated Cancellations
Organizers are required to notify FinEvent and all ticket holders as soon as they decide to cancel an event. Refunds for such cancellations are processed automatically to ticket buyers based on the payment method used during ticket purchase. Organizers will not receive payment for canceled events.
1.2 Rescheduling of Events
If an event is rescheduled instead of canceled, ticket holders will be notified via email. Ticket holders will have the option to:
- Use the same ticket for the rescheduled event.
- Request a refund if they cannot attend the rescheduled event.
1.3 Repeated Cancellations by an Organizer
Organizers who frequently cancel events may be subject to penalties, including suspension or termination of their FinEvent account.
2. Ticket Buyer Cancellations
2.1 General Refund Policy for Ticket Buyers
Buyers are entitled to a refund only in cases where the event is canceled or rescheduled by the organizer. Refunds are not applicable if the buyer changes their mind, cannot attend the event, or fails to meet the event's entry requirements (e.g., age restrictions, dress code).
2.2 Non-Refundable Events
Certain events may be marked as "Non-Refundable" by the organizer, which will be clearly stated on the event listing. No refunds will be processed in such cases.
2.3 Partial Refunds
In cases where part of the event is completed, or the event is shortened due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather issues, technical difficulties), a partial refund may be provided at the organizer's discretion.
3. Refund Process
3.1 Initiation of Refunds
Refunds will be processed automatically in the case of event cancellations or as per the terms outlined by the event organizer. Refunds will be issued back to the original payment method used by the buyer.
3.2 Refund Timeframe
Refunds generally take 7-10 business days to reflect in the buyer's account, depending on the payment provider or bank.
3.3 Transaction Fees
Any processing or transaction fees incurred during the purchase may not be refundable, depending on the payment gateway policies.
4. Disputes and Chargebacks
4.1 Resolving Disputes
If a buyer feels they are entitled to a refund that was not provided, they can contact support@finixia.in within 30 days of the event. We will mediate disputes between the organizer and buyer to ensure a fair outcome.
4.2 Chargebacks
In cases of chargebacks (where a buyer disputes a charge with their bank), FinEvent will provide the necessary documentation to defend the case if the purchase was legitimate. Organizers and buyers who file fraudulent chargebacks may be banned from our platform.
